Mission

Architecture is a public art. Noelker and Hull's mission is to place the values of our clients above our own, and to provide memorable experiences to all those who inhabit our designs.

The Firm

Founded in 1957, Noelker and Hull is a professional architectural design, master planning and interior design firm serving clients in a variety of markets. We execute projects across the United States from our offices in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania; Frederick, Maryland; and Richmond, Virginia.

Our firm is large enough to undertake any project, but small enough to have few layers of management. Each client works directly with our principals throughout a project. We pride ourselves on cultivating friendly and long-term relationships. We listen closely to understand our clients' needs and respond with appropriate design solutions.

The firm's Frederick, MD, office (formerly King, Asbury & Associates), joined Noelker and Hull in 2014. The office concentrates on conceptual planning, facility programming, architectural design and construction documents, as well as essential follow-through during construction and post-occupancy. Specialized services include master planning, estimating, interior design, facility evaluation and feasibility studies.

As professionals, we are committed to architecture that is sympathetic to both its physical and social surroundings. We begin each project by examining the given contexts of landscape and community and study them to understand the limits they impose as well as the opportunities they present. Our designs respond to many different levels of environmental concern, including physical appearance, materials palette and levels of energy consumption.

Our work has been widely published in the professional media and has received numerous awards for design excellence.

Associations

Noelker and Hull's staff, both as a firm and individuals, participate in a variety of national, state and local professional organizations and membership trade associations.
