Completed by Noelker and Hull’s Frederick, MD office (formerly King, Asbury Associates), the comprehensive renovation of Governor Thomas Johnson High School replaced all building systems in the 310,000 square foot structure. The project reorganized the former middle/high school into a 2,400-student high school, all while the school was occupied by 1,500 students. The project provided new entrances and kitchen facilities, 18 science labs, extensive life safety improvements, upgrades to the 1,280-seat auditorium and 2,400-seat gymnasium, and a new auxiliary gym.
