Noelker and Hull worked with the University to renovate two existing labs in the Science and Technology Building to create new biology/organic chemistry lab spaces, including accessory storage and prep room areas. Existing lab furniture was removed and the spaces were reconfigured to accommodate current academic needs. Mechanical systems and lighting were replaced with new equipment and fixtures. HVAC modifications included new code compliant fume hoods in the chemistry lab and ‘snorkel’ hoods in the biology lab. A new vacuum pump and reverse osmosis water purification system will assure modern laboratory function. New room finishes and doors, marker boards, projection screens, and state-of-the-art audiovisual equipment were part of the upgraded learning environment.
