Noelker and Hull Associates, Inc. recently joined executives and residents of SpiriTrust Lutheran® for the ceremonial groundbreaking of a new skilled care and rehabilitation center at The Village at Luther Ridge.
Firm vice president Michael Allen-Hall, AIA, joined in the ceremony for the 40-bed skilled care center on the SpiriTrust Lutheran campus in Chambersburg, PA.
“The need for nursing care has grown in Franklin County,” Allen-Hall said. “This project brings full circle the campus vision that began 21 years ago.”
When completed, the new skilled care center will complete the continuum of care for the Luther Ridge community. The building will feature resident-centered care for long-term nursing and short-term rehabilitation patients.
The building will be comprised of two long-term care neighborhoods of 15 beds each and one neighborhood of 10 residents for short-term rehabilitation, which will also include a new therapy gym that will provide both in-patient and out-patient care.
Each of the three neighborhoods will contain private rooms and be centered around a social core with living, dining, and activity spaces.
SpiriTrust Lutheran senior vice president and chief operating officer Angela Dohrman stated, “We are incredibly excited about this project and the addition to our senior living services in Franklin County.”
SpiriTrust Lutheran provides an array of programs and services in Pennsylvania and northern Maryland, including residential living, assisted living, personal care, memory support and nursing and rehabilitation services; home care, in-home support, hospice services and palliative care; counseling services; financial education and coaching; domestic abuse solutions; services for the deaf and hard of hearing; volunteer income tax assistance; and an array of volunteer programs.
