Noelker and Hull worked in collaboration with LV Development as the owner, and Springpoint Senior Living as the user, to create a new 80-bed assisted living memory support facility in Manalapan, New Jersey. The programmatic concept for the facility is to assist senior residents through their various phases of memory regression. The architectural concept to support this is based on four houses: three of the houses are residential with the fourth house providing shared support services. All of the houses are connected by a link that is comprised of two floor-to-ceiling glass corridors enclosing an open garden. Each of the houses are independent in services and set up for a different level of memory support for residents. Activities have been created in each house to assist residents. These activities include therapeutic gardening, guided meditation to creative arts, multidimensional wellness programs and social gatherings.
