We are excited to announce that Luther Crest, a Lutheran Senior Services Community in Allentown, PA, has earned First Place in Dining Innovation by the 2024 Senior Housing News Architecture & Design Awards! This prestigious recognition honors Luther Crest’s bold and innovative approach to dining design and senior living experiences.
The renovation aimed to reinvigorate the community’s independent living dining program by adding five new dining venues, each tailored to enhance the residents’ culinary experience. These include The Vine & Fig, a formal dining restaurant; The Steel Valley Pub, a bar and grille; The Chromium Grille, offering bistro-style meals; The Fuellenbach, a teaching kitchen with private dining options; and Common Grounds, a coffee shop and marketplace. A standout feature of the transformation is the expo destination restaurant, which offers an open kitchen design where residents can view chefs preparing gourmet meals in a French cooking suite. The project was carefully phased to maintain dining services throughout construction, ensuring minimal disruption to daily life.
This dining transformation not only enhances Luther Crest’s culinary offerings but also enriches residents’ social experiences within the community. We are proud to see Luther Crest’s dining program recognized for its impact on senior living. To learn more about this project and team behind it, visit Senior Housing News here.
