Noelker and Hull Associates, Inc. (Noelker and Hull) along with Talbot County Public Schools, officials, and administrators broke ground for the new Easton Elementary School on September 19, 2018 in Easton, Maryland.
Noelker and Hull designed the 128,755-square-foot facility that can accommodate 1,167 students in grades Pre-K through 5 and includes approximately 3,000 square feet of community use space.
Although the existing Easton Moton and Dobson Elementary Schools are being demolished, a key element of this project is maintaining the heritage and identities of the gentlemen for whom the original buildings are named in the new design.
“It’s certainly going to be exciting for the Easton elementary community. They have been dealing with some aging buildings and that is something that this new building is obviously going to remedy,” said plan operations and maintenance manager Kevin Shafer.
