Noelker and Hull Associates, Inc.’s (Noelker and Hull) Dan McDougal, senior project manager, participated with Montgomery County officials in breaking ground on the new $12.4 million Avery Road Treatment Center.
Noelker and Hull is providing architectural and interior design services for developer Potomac Healthcare Foundation for the new three-story, 38,000-square-foot, 64-bed facility that will provide treatment, a safe haven, and second chance. The program includes residential units for both nonhospital detoxification and intermediate care clients, substance abuse treatment, medical spaces, dining room and commercial kitchen, clinical offices, administration offices, and recreational spaces.
“We want to do everything in our power to help restore hope and to put those in need on a path toward healing and recovery,” Maryland Governor Larry Hogan said.
The new substance abuse center will replace the existing deteriorating facility on Avery Road and is expected to be completed in 2020.
