The new 21,800-square-foot ambulatory surgery center in Winchester, Virginia is designed for future and flexible expansion along a linear chassis with little or no disruption to ongoing operations. The one-way sterile processing department can accommodate 6,000 cases per year, while the future operating rooms, which currently function as procedure rooms, are designed to be placed in immediate operation upon certificate of public need approval. The project includes three operating rooms and two swing procedure rooms designed as an operating room with complete support functions for future operations.
