Noelker and Hull worked with F&M Trust Bank on a feasibility study for the conversion of an existing 67,775-square-foot industrial building into office space for F&M Trust operations. The renovated area is 51,300 square feet.
We reviewed their existing program, which had expanded between multiple buildings in downtown Chambersburg, for a more suitable single building with room for future growth. F&M Trust considered multiple options for new and existing sites before ultimately deciding on the adaptive reuse of a vacant industrial building a few miles from their current location.
With an architectural update to the exterior façade easily visible from I-81, to a total overhaul of the interior space, the client now has a cohesive and unified space that represents their brand and meets their operational needs.
The interiors provide an updated yet timeless design, incorporating warm wood tones and openness with glass and high ceilings, and offers an inviting collaborative work area in a central atrium with added skylights and a plethora of meeting spaces. This solves past problems of limited space for the many departments and over 175 staff. The design also incorporates a Community Room that will be used for training and community events.
Additionally, Noelker and Hull worked closely with every department to review the specific needs for the interior furnishings and developed a competitive furniture bid package which compliments the streamlined, yet welcoming new design of the interiors.
