The Saint Katharine Drexel Cathothic Church, located in Frederick, Maryland, features an 8,100-square-foot, 654-seat worship space with a loft and custom liturgical furnishings including altar, ambo, baptismal font, and tabernacle platform. The ceiling consists of elliptical vaults, 32 feet above the floor at the apex, punctuated by decorative stained glulam beams. The narthex has high ceilings and clerestory light, and is flanked by a café and meeting space to encourage gathering before and after mass. Other spaces include water features, classrooms, reconciliation room chapel, sacristies, shrine, and storage.
