This new 50,000-square-foot St. Paul United Methodist Church, located in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania, replaced the congregation’s historic 100-year-old church that was destroyed by fire. The building program focused on creating a worship space with the warmth and communal focus of the original masonry church. The main worship space seats 500 parishioners and the design included familiar elements such as the steeple, bell tower, side chapel, and narthex, while the multi-use social hall, commercial kitchen, and educational wing met the contemporary needs of a growing congregation.
